Rochester kicks off the summer months by celebrating and honoring veterans with a Memorial Day Parade coordinated by the Rochester Veterans Council.
Downtown Rochester hosts National Free Comic Book Day in May, a day featuring an exhibit hall, artists, costumed role players, great giveaways and more!

A blazing Night Before the Fourth of July celebration is held complete with family activities and fireworks is held in honor of Independence Day.
The fall features the Rochester Fair, an agricultural fair complete with food and entertainment held annually in September. The Rochester Fair, running for over 130 years, is the oldest fair in New Hampshire and attracts approximately 150,000 people. This eight day event features a complete midway of games, rides and attractions. An exhibition building showcases art, crafts, livestock, and 4-H on display. Educational tours are provided to schools and youth groups.
A Victorian grandstand is on hand and an entertainment center that hosts talent and variety show are all part of the fair.

The Rochester October Festival brings families together to celebrate this day long, fun event in the heart of downtown Rochester. Crafts, music, food, and games accompanied by a pumpkin patch are enjoyed by many annually.

Rochester rings in the holiday season with a spectacular Holiday Parade complete with floats, VIPs, marching bands and more that travels from the Spaulding High School through downtown Rochester to the Rochester Commons.
