he Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is an active, non-profit business membership organization comprised of business and professionals working together for nearly 85 years dedicated to fostering a favorable economic climate for the greater Rochester area in which to live and work.

The Chamber represents its member businesses which range from one person businesses to large corporations. The organization is voluntarily financed through annual membership investments made by its members based on the size of the business and through a number of fund raising activities.

2013CHAMBER RAFFLE TICKETS ON SALE NOW!


The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce is conducting its annual Chamber Raffle with tickets on sale for a chance to win either a 2013 Harley-Davidson FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom motorcycle in vivid black or $10,000. The drawing will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 during the Chamber Raffle Bash held at The Governor's Inn in Rochester, NH. Tickets are $50.00 each. Only 550 tickets will be sold for this exciting raffle! Be sure to purchase your tickets early as tickets sell out quickly.

The purchase of a Chamber Raffle ticket ADMITS ONE to the "Mexican Fiesta" Chamber Raffle Bash, underwritten by D.F. Richard Energy. This event will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at The Governor's Inn in Rochester from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Those who attend the event will enjoy a fun-filled Mexican themed evening as Waste Management serves as the hospitality sponsor for the event. There will be hors d'oeuvres, a light buffet, live entertainment and the exciting Chamber Reverse Raffle, sponsored by Public Service of New Hampshire! Runner up prizes will be awarded too with the second runner up receiving $250 cash and the first runner up receiving $500 cash. A number of second chance prizes will also be raffled throughout the evening. An RSVP to attend this event must be received by August 1st. Tickets are sponsored by Holy Rosary Credit Union

39TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
AND CLAMBAKE A SUCCESS!


The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce held its 39th Annual Golf Tournament and Clambake on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Rochester Country Club. The tournament was underwritten by Waste Management and more than 100 golfers enjoyed a beautiful, fun-filled day on the course!

The day began with continental breakfast, provided by the Rochester Country Club, and then a scramble format round of golf with a shotgun start at 9:00am. Throughout the day, players enjoyed hot dogs, generously provided by Old Neighborhood Quality Foods and cooked by volunteers from Great Clips, MetroCast & Urban Tree Service. Seacoast Coca Cola also provided water and soda for players and volunteers.

After the tournament, players and guest enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, provided by the Rochester Country Club and a fabulous clambake dinner catered by Foster's Downeast Clambake.

After dinner, an awards ceremony was held with over $1600.00 in prizes being awarded. The top men's team was the team from Waste Management - Steve Cates, John Nadeau, Patrick Hopkins and Jeff McGown. The top women's team was the team from Profile Bank - Janet Hand, Jeanette Poulin, Julie Donlon and Holly Rene.

The Chamber would like to thank the many, many sponsors who make this event possible as well as the players and volunteers who came out to enjoy a day of golf in support of the Chamber!

THE CHAMBER LINKS LUNCH N' LEARN
PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER SERIES


Come meet fellow business people at the Chamber Links Lunch N' Learn networking group. Chamber Links networking meetings are held monthly on the 4th Tuesday from 11:30am to 1:00pm.The venue for Chamber Links changes quarterly with meetings.

The goal of Chamber Links is to introduce and make business connections in a casual and facilitated setting. The Chamber Links Lunch N' Learn meetings feature a keynote speaker who provides information on timely topics that affect business. In addition, this networking opportunity provides members with the opportunity to give a 60-second "snippet" about their business.

Be sure to register to attend June's Lunch N' Learn which will feature Workforce Development & The Workforce Investment Act Program presented by Michelle Hart of Community Action Partnership of Strafford County.

CHAMBER LAUNCHED MOBILE SITE

The Chamber is pleased to announce the development of its mobile app. The purpose of the mobile app is to allow those browsing on smartphones to easily view information about the Chamber, join the Chamber, access Chamber member listings, Chamber Discounts, a Dining Guide and more. Member business listings on this mobile site offers links in order to access Chamber members by phone, email and their websites. It also includes GPS mapping to easily find directions to member businesses.
