1 YearWhat Is Your Role:
I get to build relationships with people in the community, find out what they are interested in and connect them to the programs and services at Goodwin that they are passionate about. I also currently have my hands in grant writing, database management, event planning, donor advancement, and board relations.Tell Us Why You Love Your Job:
I am privileged with a front row seat to see hundreds of our patients lives changed as a result of donors generosity. Everyone gives to charitable causes for different reasons and I am interested in each donor's story about why they choose to give to Goodwin. I also enjoy working with our Board of Directors. They are a very dedicated group of volunteers who provide excellent guidance for the organization. Lastly, I love that each day requires the application of different skills. I have gained a broad knowledge base in my short career about recruiting, marketing, finance, communications, strategic planning, volunteer management, and event coordination. Development Officers touch many departments in a non-profit organization which gives me a unique perspective on business operations.Tell Us What You Like About the Greater Rochester Young Professionals Networking Group:
